Ever since grade school, Mr. Tim McIntire’s ambition has been to become a teacher. Mr. McIntire’s experiences growing up in Reading and his rounds through the Reading Public School System made him realize what he wanted to do with his life- teach at RMHS. McIntire expanded, saying that he had such great experiences with his teachers growing up that he knew he wanted to share that same love for learning in the town that started it all.
His first job as a teacher was at Reading Memorial High School, but he hasn't stayed at RMHS his entire teaching career. After starting out at RMHS, Mr. Mcintire spent eight years teaching in Illinois where he traveled and taught in four different towns; he taught at one school for six years. But, his desire to return back to his native roots drew him back to Reading, and he is now teaching at RMHS once again. Chemistry is his favorite course to teach, and has stuck with this subject at all of the schools he has taught at regardless of the various locations that he has moved around to.
Mr. McIntire is now a full time Chemistry teacher, and is thoroughly enjoying his position. We hope to have him in the Reading school system for as long as possible, as he is an exceptional teacher. I am lucky enough to have him as a teacher currently, and I can speak on behalf of my entire class in saying that he is both an enthusiastic teacher, and a lovable guy. Reading is lucky to regain a teacher like Mr. McIntire.
